We are thrilled to announce that African Bookworm Voices is back with a brand new season. Schools across Nigeria and beyond are already registering their brightest young readers. The competition promises bigger prizes, broader reach, and deeper impact this year.
Researchers at the Department of Behavioural Science, Durham University, have expanded their study using the African Bookworm Voices programme to examine intergroup identity among young Africans. The findings are expected to be published in early 2027.
In partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education, Bookworm Africa has begun piloting a curriculum integration framework to embed reading culture into secondary school learning across five states. The pilot will inform a nationwide rollout.
